UXCamp Switzerland is a one-day immersive unconference planned by a team of local volunteers, focusing on UX and all its related disciplines.
Over 120 UX professionals, students, enthusiasts, and supporters sharing what we’ve learned, the mistakes we’ve made, and how we had fun doing it. Asking thought-provoking questions, challenging ‘best practice’, and opening our eyes to what we didn’t know we didn’t know. We are UXCamp Switzerland.
What is a Barcamp?
A Barcamp (also known as an unconference) is all about participation. The sessions are not planned in advance, and you’re expected to contribute our ideas, experience, and enthusiasm. And that’s what makes a Barcamp so great.

Rules of Barcamp .
BarCamp is an ad-hoc unconference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees.
Attendees must hold a session (or help with one), or volunteer or contribute in some other way to support the event.
What’s a ‘session’ ?
A session is an opportunity: to talk, explain, demonstrate, debate… and usually lasts around 45 minutes.
We don’t stand in front of a perfectly-designed presentation and lecture. We encourage discussion, share case studies, demo an idea, and provide material to get the conversation started. A session is what we want it to be — and we want it to be fun, inspirational, participatory, and unexpected. Every UXCamper is strongly encouraged to facilitate a session, either alone or as part of a small team. What else ?
Free tea, coffee, and tap water are available all day, but please bring your own cup/bottle so we don’t create too much trash.
Free wifi is available so you can tweet, blog, and Insta about UXCamp all day long.
We often host lunch on the rooftop terrace in good weather, so remember your sunglasses and sunscreen!

The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Take Tram 4 direct to Toni-Areal, or check your options on the sbb.ch journey planner.
The venue is close to Hardbrücke station (S-Bahn) and easily reachable from Zurich
Hauptbahnhof and Zurich Airport.
UXCamp St.Gallen has changing locations. In 2019 we are glad to get support from Startfeld Innovationszentrum
